Ingredients

  • 750 gr. chopped chicken breast
  • 1 egg
  • 1 / 2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of spice mix (salt, pepper, cayenne, ginger)
  • oil

For la salsa:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup of rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • the zest of 1 orange
  • some grated fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • chives or chives
  • orange slices

Preparation

  1. The first thing is to make the sauce. To do this we mix the water, lemon and orange juice, vinegar and soy. We flirt with the Maizena and reserve.

  2. Prepare the chicken batter. Combine the flour, cornstarch and spices. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg and then coat with the flour mixture. Shake off excess batter and reserve. We fry the chicken cubes in hot oil so that they brown evenly.

  3. We put the previous preparation of the sauce on the fire and add the sugar, the orange peel and the ginger. Let it simmer, adding water if necessary. When the sauce thickens, add the chicken and mix.

  4. We serve with the chopped spring onion or chives, fresh orange slices and a little boiled rice.
