Ingredients

  • 2 red tomatoes
  • 2 cans of tuna
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • grated cheese
  • oregano
  • oil or butter
  • pepper
  • shawl

Preparation

  1. We start with the puree: Wash the potatoes and cook them with their skin on in a saucepan with plenty of salted water for 15-20 minutes until they are tender. Then, we drain them and refresh them with cold water.

  2. Peel the potatoes and mash them with a fork.

  3. Season the purée to your liking and water it with a trickle of olive oil or a little butter.

  4. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into thick slices.

  5. We place each slice at the base of the timbale mold (if we are going to make them individual, if not, we distribute all the tomato in the bottom of a large container) We put a little oil and oregano or basil on the tomato.

  6. We distribute the drained and shredded tuna over the tomato layer and, on top, we spread the mashed potato. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake, also on the grill, for a few minutes at about 200 degrees until the surface of the timbale is golden.
