Shepherd's Pie - An Anglo-Saxon Classic

This recipe is a classic in England and the USA. "Shepherd" means shepherd, hence this recipe is made with minced lamb. It has an equivalent that is made with beef and is known as Cottage pie ("Pie" means pie, pie). The cake is covered with HOMEMADE FOOT MASH and baked in the oven, acquiring a nice toasted tone. There are those who put some raw tomato slices before gratin, but that to the taste of the consumer.
