Do you dare to make bread at home? Well, today there are great bakeries but the truth is, they are not necessary and kneading our own bread is quite an experience. This is a very traditional recipe with which we get a very good peasant-style bread. The touch that honey gives it is very special and don't worry about the alcohol in the beer, it will evaporate and the bread can be enjoyed by the whole family. Simple homemade country style bread

Ingredients

  • 425 g of bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of dry baker's yeast (about 6 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 250 ml of beer.

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl we put the flour, salt, yeast, oil and honey

  2. In a saucepan, heat the beer a little and add it little by little until you have a homogeneous mass

  3. We knead about 10 minutes on a floured surface until we have an elastic dough.

  4. If it is too loose, add a little more flour.

  5. We put the dough in a container that we cover with transparent

  6. We place said container in a warm place until it doubles in size (near the kitchen or in a preheated oven at 30ºC, but with a glass of water inside so that it is moist).

  7. We knead again for a few minutes

  8. Next, we shape our loaf of bread (you can make three/four curls and make a braid)

  9. We let it rest in a warm place, another 30 minutes until it doubles its size again

  10. Sprinkle with flour and bake at 220º for about 30 minutes.

  11. If you make bread rolls, reduce the cooking time until the bread is golden brown.
