Apple dessert and cookies

The dessert that we propose today is the most original. In an oven-safe container we are going to put some chopped apples and mixed with sugar, cinnamon ... And, on the fruit, a cookie dough that we are going to prepare ourselves.

The step-by-step photos will help you follow the entire process. The fun thing about this recipe is that the dough that we will put on the apple will be cut in circles, in the shape of cookies. As a result, we will obtain baked apple cookies that we can serve in small bowls.

You can replace the apple with pear or even for red fruits. The result will always be a delicious dessert to enjoy. Family.

Ingredients
For the cookie dough:
  • 300 g flour
  • 200g cold butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 6 g Royal type baking yeast
  • 20 g of milk if necessary
For the apple base
  • 6 medium apples
  • 50 g of cane sugar
  • The lemon juice of 1
  • A little cinnamon powder
Preparation
  1. We start by preparing the cookie dough. Put the flour, sugar and cold butter in a large bowl.
  2. We begin to mix, with a wooden spoon or with our hands.
  3. We add the egg.
  4. We mix well.
  5. If we see that it lacks some liquid we add a splash of milk. The dough must be like the one seen in the photo.
  6. We put it between two baking papers and spread it with a roller. We do not stretch it too much, since we want it to be approximately half a centimeter thick.
  7. We reserve the dough in the refrigerator.
  8. We peel and core the apples. We cut them into segments and we put them in a bowl. On these segments we put the lemon juice (to prevent the apple from oxidizing), the cane sugar and the cinnamon.
  9. We mix well.
  10. We put our apple with all the ingredients that we have been adding to it in a suitable ovenproof dish. Ideally, it should be a non-removable source or tray so that the juice that it will release during baking does not come out.
  11. We take the dough out of the refrigerator, the one that we have previously stretched. With a pasta cutter, with a glass or with the Thermomix goblet we are cutting circles. We put those circles on the apple.
  12. With them we will cover the surface of the fountain.
  13. Bake at 170º (preheated oven) for 30 or 40 minutes, until the cookie begins to turn golden brown.
