Apple sandwiches

Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 2 butter nuts
- 2 tablespoons sugar, plus a little more to sprinkle on the bread
- A teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 8 slices of sliced bread
- I beaten egg
Preparation
We peel, core and chop the apples.
We put the chopped apple in a frying pan along with the butter and two tablespoons of sugar.
We put the pan on the heat, mix and cook the apple.
We add a little cinnamon and continue cooking, over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
When the apple is cooked, turn off the heat and reserve the mixture.
We take 8 slices of bread. We cut the edges with a knife and are left with the white bread.
We put those slices without crust on the counter or on a board and flatten/spread them with a rolling pin.
We put one or two tablespoons of apple on four of the slices. We cover each slice with another and seal the edges with a fork. We put the sandwiches on a baking tray with baking paper.
We paint the surface of each sandwich with egg.
We sprinkle sugar on the surface.
Bake at 180º for 10 or 15 minutes, until the surface is golden.
We serve hot. If you have leftover cooked apple, do not hesitate to put it on the plates, on the sandwiches.
