Children may never have had battered sausages. Ideally, the sausages are small, like the ones you see in the photo. Don't you have mini sausages? Do not worry because we can cut them and, with a knife, give them the desired shape.
We'll have fun if we play with the kind of breaded: it is possible to coat them with kikos, with cereals or simply with breadcrumbs as I have done. And we can also be creative with the filling: the sausage can be wrapped in sausage, cheese or béchamel before breading.
I leave the link to another appetizer similar. In this case, the sausages are from the butcher's shop and go to the oven because we wrap them in puff pastry: Puff pastry rolls with sausages
- 2 packages of frankfurters that can be homemade
- Bread crumbs
- Egg
- Plentiful oil for frying
- If we don't have mini sausages, we can shape them starting from normal sausages. We just have to divide 3 or 4 sausages and round the edges with a knife or lace.
- We prepare a bowl or plate with egg and another with breadcrumbs.
- We beat the egg.
- We breaded each mini sausage, passing it through an egg and breadcrumbs.
- To make the batter even better, crunchier, we will make a double batter: when they are breaded, we repeat the operation, passing them again through egg and breadcrumbs.
- We fry them in a frying pan with plenty of hot oil.
- We drain them before serving them on absorbent paper.
