Not all side dishes have to be French fries. We can also prepare some Brussels sprouts sautéed with bacon cubes. And that is what we have made today, a vegetable garnish that can accompany any meat dish.
First we are going to cook the cabbages and then sauté them with some cubes of bacon well browned.
Do you like fittings original? Well I recommend this color mashed potatoes.
Brussels sprouts with bacon

Ingredients
- 300g brussels sprouts
- Water
- 100 g of bacon
- Sal Island
- Pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil
Preparation
We put water in a saucepan and put it on the fire. We take advantage of this time to clean the cabbages and, with a knife, make a cross at the base. When the water starts to boil, add a little salt and add the cabbages.
We cook them for approximately 20 minutes.
Once done we drain them.
We put the bacon in a pan and sauté it until it is golden.
Cut the brussels sprouts into quarters and add them to the pan.
We add salt and pepper.
Sauté the cabbages a little until they have a golden touch.
Serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, raw.
Notes
If you want to give it an original touch, do not hesitate to add a little orange zest.
