Do you have some muffins or sobaos that have been a bit hard on you? We are going to recycle them and have fun with the kids making some cake pops, that kind of lollipop of sponge cake, chocolate and a thousand other flavors so fun and colorful. They are great for any children's party (or those already grown up) and if you make them with the little ones it will be a pleasant experience as well as creative.

Ingredients

  • 350g flour
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 250 g of sunflower or seed oil
  • 100 g cooking cream
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • the zest of 1 lemon or orange
  • 250 g of eggs (about 4 or 5)
  • 1 pinch of salt

To decorate

  • Colored balls (of sugar)
  • Cholocolate noodles

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, crumble the sobaos or magdalenas: we have to have 3 tablespoons of crumbs for each one of nocilla. With that ratio we get a ball, so it depends on what you want to do.

  2. Once crumbled we add a tablespoon of very cold nocilla. With a fork, we mix everything and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up and then we can model it.

  3. When time passes, we melt in the microwave the ounces of milk chocolate that we will put in a bowl. It is convenient to melt the chocolate little by little, and heat it every 10 seconds so that it does not burn. Once firm, remove the migas and nocilla paste from the ice cream pan, and make small balls with your hands. We sink the tip of each skewer stick into the chocolate and then insert it into the ball, and return it to the fridge, placing them on a sheet of baking paper. We let solidify.

  4. Finally, we heat the milk chocolate again and sink the ball (already pierced on the stick) into the chocolate and cover it everywhere.

  5. Drain a little by tapping the skewer stick.

  6. Let cool for a couple of minutes and decorate with some colored balls and others with chocolate noodles. If you let it cool completely the balls will not stick together, and if you do it immediately the color of the balls may be lost and the noodles become deformed, so let it cool.

  7. Let solidify completely and enjoy ...

    Hello Rocio:

    If I'm telling you the truth, I don't know for sure. In the US and England they are sold in supermarkets in the confectionery area, but I have not seen them here. I have used the wooden ones from cut skewers. If I find the place where they sell them, I will let you know. Thanks for reading us.
