Carnival ears

Preparation

1. In a large bowl or salad bowl we put the warm water with the salt, the sugar, the anise and half of the melted butter; mix well and add the lightly beaten egg. We continue beating until everything is incorporated.

2. We put the flour and begin to knead. We are adding the butter that was missing cut into pieces and we continue kneading everything until the butter is completely incorporated. We must have an elastic mass. If it's too loose, add a little more flour.

3. Cover with a damp cloth or transparent paper (squeeze the paper or cloth so that it is in contact with the surface and the upper part does not harden). Let it rest for an hour or so.

4. After resting, we take portions of dough the size of a walnut with our hands smeared with oil. We also oil the work surface and the roller as well; We are spreading the dough with the rolling pin, leaving it as thin as possible and giving it the shape of an ear (or in triangles).

5. Fry in a frying pan with plenty of oil over medium heat and turning them over when we see that they have browned.

6. We are placing them on a plate with absorbent paper and transfer them in the source. Finally, we sprinkle them with icing sugar to decorate.
