Have you tried the chard stalks fried, like the ones in the photo? I encourage you to try them because they are very tasty.
After cleaning them we will put on them a piece of cooked ham. Then they will go battered with flour and egg, and to make them even more attractive, we will sprinkle a little breadcrumbs on top.
Do not hesitate to prepare them for the whole family because kids love them.

Ingredients
- The stalks of 12 chard leaves
- 3 slices of cooked ham
- Some flour
- 1 egg
- A splash of milk
- Bread crumbs
- Abundant oil for frying
Preparation
We wash and dry the chard stalks well and remove the strings. We prepare the rest of the ingredients.
We cut the slices of cooked ham.
We put each portion, extended, on a penca.
We coat each portion of stalk with ham, first passing it through flour.
Then we pass it through the mixture of beaten egg and milk.
Finally, we sprinkle some breadcrumbs on the surface.
We fry in abundant oil to fry our battered stalks with ham. We remove them from the pan to a plate covered with absorbent paper.
We serve immediately with a nice salad.
