It is not uncommon to add fruit to certain gravy recipes. Pork with pineapple, chicken with plums, sirloin with red fruits ... Let's take advantage of the seasonal strawberries to prepare some very tasty chicken breasts thanks to the rich sweet and sour sauce that we obtain after cooking them with a few ingredients, including some vegetables. This dish, also due to its presence, is sure to be liked by children.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 cebolla
  • 1 Carrot
  • 250 gr. strawberries
  • oil
  • raspberry or apple cider vinegar
  • pepper
  • shawl

Preparation

  1. We put a saucepan with a bottom of oil on the fire. Season the breasts with salt and pepper and brown them on both sides over medium heat. We withdraw.

  2. Chop the onion and carrot and sauté them in the same oil that we used to brown the breasts. Once ready, we add the breasts to the casserole and wet them with a little chicken broth and a splash of vinegar. Let the chicken cook for a few minutes with the lid on until tender.

  3. Then, we chop the strawberries to taste and add them to the breasts. We continue cooking for a few more minutes but with the pan uncovered. When the sauce has reduced, we rectify the salt and pepper stew and serve.
