The recipe that I share with you today is a chicken in whiskey sauce and I have prepared it many years ago, you will see that it is very simple and it is also delicious. The chicken is tender, juicy and the sauce creamy and very good. Although it has whiskey among its ingredients as we cook it and let the alcohol evaporate, it is a recipe suitable for the whole family.
As an accompaniment to this chicken and to make this recipe a very complete dish, you can use a little cooked rice, grilled vegetables or some potatoes, both fried and made in the microwave or in the oven.
Chicken in whiskey sauce

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts filleted
- 8 mushrooms (normal or Portobello)
- 150 gr. of liquid cream (or evaporated milk if you want it lighter)
- 50 gr. whiskey
- 1/2 chicken bouillon cube
- flour
- shawl
- pepper
- olive oil
Preparation
Cut the mushrooms into slices and sauté for a couple of minutes in a pan with a little oil. Reserve.
Season the chicken breast fillets and lightly flour them.
Pass the chicken fillets through the pan (the same that we used for the mushrooms) with 3 or 4 tablespoons of oil. They do not have to be browned, just done a little so that they are sealed with the flour. Remove the chicken from the pan and reserve.
With the pan removed from the heat, undo the chicken stock cube in the oil that has remained at the bottom of the pan.
Put the pan on the fire and then add the whiskey. Stir well with a spatula or spoon and leave over medium heat for about 2 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate.
Then add the cream, stir so that the sauce is homogeneous and cook for a couple of more minutes.
Add the mushrooms and chicken that we had reserved, mix well and continue cooking 3-4 minutes so that the chicken is well impregnated with the flavors of the sauce.
You already have your chicken in whiskey sauce ready to serve.
