Chocolate aubergines, an Italian festive dessert

This dessert is usually prepared on this August holiday in the Southern Italy (vacation of Ferragosto). Originally from the monks, this dish should not surprise us much if we have already tried the rich Aubergines with honey, sweeter if possible. A variation of this recipe that is also usually made is to fry the aubergines after bread them and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and lemon zest.
