Today we are going to prepare a different cake than usual with this recipe for Chocolate Cake, Coca Cola and cherries (cherry coke) that is incredibly delicious

Ingredients

  • 250 gr. pastry flour
  • 10 gr. baking powder
  • 35 gr. cocoa powder
  • 300 gr. icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 250 gr. of butter
  • 200 ml. of Coke
  • 225 ml. whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • a handful of cherries fresh or in syrup
  • a splash of kirsch or cherry liqueur

Preparation

  1. To make the cake dough, we start by mixing the dry ingredients: the flour, the yeast, the cocoa, the icing sugar and the bicarbonate.

  2. Now we make another preparation with the rest of the liquid ingredients

  3. We melt the butter completely and we pour the Coca Cola and the milk

  4. We also add the eggs and the cherry liqueur and beat with the rods until a foamy cream is well assembled.

  5. Without stopping stirring with the rods, we incorporate the flour mixture to this other egg with the help of a sieve or strainer, to make it in the form of rain

  6. When we have a homogeneous mass, we put the pitted and split cherries in the mass.

  7. Pour this dough into a round greased mold or with non-stick paper and put it in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 45 minutes or until we check with a needle that the inside of the cake is dry.

  8. When it is warm, we let it cool on a rack outside the mold.

  9. Decorate with whipped cream and fruit.
