Here we leave you another idea of picnic for young and old: some fun cocoa cream sticks. It is one of those recipes that children can make with us. They will love to put all the ingredients of the cream in the bowl and stir, with a fork or a wooden spoon.
The sticks are made using a sheet of pasta Round but if you have a rectangular sheet at home, it will also serve you well. You just have to divide it into rectangles, put the cream in each portion and roll each strip. I leave you the photos of how the round dough would be divided, which may seem the most complicated.
In case you want to make the recipe using a homemade dough I leave you the link to the recipe of a dough that we like a lot: the sablé dough
- 1 round sheet of shortcrust pasta
- 200 g of ricotta or cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons of bitter cocoa powder
- 30 g of cane sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 beaten egg or milk to brush the surface
- A teaspoon of cane sugar
- Put the ricotta, cocoa, egg and sugar in a bowl.
- Mix with a fork until everything is well integrated.
- We cut the dough with a knife, as seen in the image, into 16 portions.
- With a spoon we put our cream in each of the portions.
- Carefully we roll each strip.
- Brush the dough with beaten egg or a little milk.
- We sprinkle cane sugar on the surface.
- Bake at 180 for 20 or 25 minutes, until we see that the dough is golden
