To have a completely winter dish, we have combined oranges and cabbage in a rich salad that is based on the classic orange salad with chives and paprika dressing. This salad will be more substantial to become a unique dish if we add pasta, rice, couscous or some fish like cod or a meat like roast chicken or pork.

This cabbage and orange salad is perfect to beat the heat and enjoy the delicious flavor that the combination of these ingredients gives

Ingredients

  • White cabbage
  • 2 naranjas
  • Peeled nuts
  • 1 clove of garlic or spring onion
  • paprika
  • cumin
  • olive oil
  • shawl

Preparation

  1. Wash and cut the cabbage into thin strips

  2. Make the dressing by crushing the garlic in a mortar with salt and a pinch of cumin

  3. Add the oil and paprika and mix well

  4. Together with the chopped chives, we mix the cabbage with the dressing and leave it to marinate in the refrigerator for several hours so that it takes on flavor and becomes tender.

  5. When serving the salad, we mix it with chopped orange segments and the walnuts.

  6. We rectify salt and oil if necessary.
