Condensed milk torrijas

Preparation

1. Bring the milk to a boil with the lemon peel and the cinnamon sticks over low heat for a couple of minutes. Remove from the heat and let the cinnamon and lemon infuse in the milk until it cools completely.

2. Then, we mix the strained milk with the condensed milk until we have a homogeneous and thick cream. If we see it necessary, we can add a little more milk to the natural.

3. Let's pour this preparation into a wide dish and put the slices of bread. Let them soak for about 3 minutes on each side, turning them carefully.

4. We pass them through beaten egg and fry them in hot oil on both sides. We must turn them very carefully, with the help of two wooden palettes.

5. Once golden, we place them on a tray and when they are cold we sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.
