We always want to surprise our guests with original starters and, if they are also simple BEST Do you have any of these? I propose you some green asparagus with crunchy breadcrumb and cheese topping. The original recipe uses panko, that Japanese breadcrumbs that is very crunchy (I don't know where it is found here in our country), but we will put a good non-native breadcrumbs on it.

Ingredients

  • A bunch of not very thick green asparagus
  • 100 g of Parmesan or any other similar Spanish cheese that you like
  • 2 claras
  • 50 g of breadcrumbs
  • 50 g flour
  • pepper
  • salt.

Preparation

  1. Wash the asparagus and remove the hard part of the stem

  2. We dry them carefully

  3. On the other hand, we put the lightly beaten whites in a deep plate and in another plate the breadcrumbs mixed with the flour and grated cheese.

  4. Pass the asparagus through the whites, sinking them well, drain them and pass them through the breadcrumb mixture

  5. Shake off the excess carefully and transfer to the tray or oven rack.

  6. Bake them at about 220ºC for about 15 minutes or until they acquire an intense golden color. Ready!
