Christmas is here. Thus, almost without meaning to, we have all started to do nougat, polvorones and other homemade delicacies like this non-alcoholic fig liqueur.
Without a doubt it is the best option for those who do not drink alcoholic beverages and even for those children who want to be like the grown-ups.
It is incredible how easy, what is the recipe?. You just have to have a little patience because the processes take hours but it is done almost by itself.
The result is an alcohol-free liquor with a very smooth flavor and reminiscent of sherry… Saving all the differences, of course!

Ingredients
- 400 g of dried figs
- 1 liter of quality water
Preparation
We weigh figs.
Now, we bite figs in quarters.
Then we put them in a large jug or container. Y we pour the water.
We leave stand 24 hours. As time goes by, the figs rise to the surface. The water is getting darker and darker.
The next day, we filter the water with the help of a muslin, cheesecloth or a very small mesh filter. We let the figs release all the water little by little. This way we get that all solid even the small seeds are separated from the liquid.
This step can take us a few hours, you just have to have a little patience. I don't usually squeeze figs, so I get the liquor to be transparent and not cloudy.
After we pour the liquor in a nice jug or bottle and keep it in the fridge until dessert time.
For serve it glasses or small glasses can be used as if it were a sherry.
