Ingredients
- 2 x 200g Tulip margarine
- 2 x 200g sugar
- 2 x 4 eggs
- 2 x 300g all-purpose flour
- 2 x 2 teaspoons yeast
- 2 x 100ml milk
- Red food coloring
- 200g chocolate for the topping (optional)
Preparation
We put the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Grease and sprinkle a little flour on a rectangular mold. In a container we mix the 200 grams of margarine and the 200 grams of sugar. We are adding the 4 eggs one by one and beat everything.
In another container, we mix the flour, the yeast and the salt, and we are stirring while we incorporate the 100 ml of milk. We put it all together with the other container.
We are adding the red food coloring to the mixture little by little and pour the mixture into the mold and bake for approximately 55 minutes. With the help of a knife, we check with a knife that it is made by piercing the cake, and let it cool in the mold for about 10 minutes.
Once it has cooled completely, we cut the cake into slices and cut the slices in the shape of a heart, using a cookie cutter.
We prepare the cake mixture a second time, in the same way as the previous one and put a small amount of mixture in the mold. We put the hearts together and in a row.
Fill the center of the mold with the rest of the mixture. We bake for approximately 50 minutes in the preheated oven. We remove from the mold and let it cool in the same way as the previous one.
If we want, we can add chocolate topping to the cake. We will prepare it by melting 200g of chocolate or in the microwave or in a water bath. We will pour over the cake already cooled, and we will cut the cake into slices.
Now we just have to serve it, enjoying the heart in every little bite.
One question, by doing what are the hearts twice, are they not going to get too done?
I am going to do it to my grandmother for her birthday and I don't want it to go wrong ...
