Ingredients

  • 24 baby sausages (8 normal)
  • 1 cup of wheat flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 2 eggs L
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or light-flavored oil
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the two flours with the salt and yeast.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, melted butter and sugar.

  3. We combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring just to integrate them well, but not excessively.

  4. Grease the cupcake or muffin tins and fill them with the dough up to 3/4 of their capacity, to prevent it from spilling during baking. We put a sausage in the center of the dough of each muffin. It is recommended that the sausage exceed the height of the mold so that, once the baked dough is swollen, it stands out.

  5. We cook the muffins in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of one of them comes out clean. Carefully unmold the muffins shortly after taking them out of the oven to avoid overcooking.
