Jelly beans with heart for Valentine's Day

Preparation

1. Prepare a medium-sized saucepan and mix in it the 2 cups of sugar, the cup and a half of applesauce, the strawberry gelatin envelope, the two plain gelatin envelopes and the tablespoon of lemon juice and let everything rest for about 2 minutes.

2. Bring all this mixture to its boiling point, stirring constantly so that it does not stick, and boil for 2 minutes.

3. Once you have the mixture, pour it onto a tray at least one finger deep, greased with a little margarine and let it rest in the fridge for at least 3 hours until the dough is firm.

4. Help yourself with a spatula to unmold the gummy plate and put it on a cutting board.

5. Help yourself with a heart-shaped pasta cutter to make the desired format (a cookie cutter with the shape you want will do). The trick so that they do not stick is to cut with that cookie cutter or knife dipped in hot water.

6. Once you have each of the shapes ready, coat each of the jelly beans on the rest of the sugar.
