Learning to make flavored waters

The healthiest drink for the little ones and the elderly in the house is water. But when it's really hot, we crave something with more flavor. To avoid resorting to sugary and bubbly sodas, there is nothing better than proposing a healthy, natural, refreshing and delicious alternative: The flavored waters that they are a perfect alternative to the usual drinks and that also they have no colorants, no flavorings or sugar, so they are the healthiest.

To prepare them you just have to choose the fruit you want, cut it into cubes or wedges and put them in water. If we want we can sweeten it a little with honey or sugar brown instead of white sugar, or leave them with their natural flavor.

Tras 5 or 6 hours in the fridge, the water will have acquired the color, the aroma and the flavor in addition to the vitamins and will be perfect to consume it.
This spring and this summer you can prepare flavored waters with many vitamins from all kinds of fruits: orange, lemon, strawberries, cherries, melon, watermelon, pear, apple, etc…. And you can even season them with a special touch of mint, cinnamon or rosemary to give it a much more special flavor. The variation is endless and the little ones in the house will love helping us prepare their flavored waters and drink them.

To help you in this fun task of making your own flavored waters, I have several proposals that you will surely love:

Coconut water

It is a flavor that reminds us of the beach. It is refreshing, creamy and very sweet, the coconut shell can serve as a glass, you just have to make a small hole to put a straw and drink its contents. Another option to make it a little thicker is to put the coconut pieces in a blender glass and beat the coconut water with more water, ice and decorate with coconut pieces to bite into them.

Pineapple water

It is a most colorful and refreshing water. What's more helps fight constipation, stress and anemia. It is diuretic and perfect for slimming diets. Blend the pineapple with water and strain it so that it is not too thick for the little ones. Garnish it with a little basil and a few kiwi slices and it will be perfect.

Watermelon water

Watermelon is a type of fruit that is great for this type of flavored waters. Blend it with very cold water and place pieces of watermelon inside. Take it without sugar and with a touch of mint leaves. It provides a lot of vitamin A and quenches the thirst of the little ones in the house.

Melon water

Melon water provides antioxidants and vitamins. Its seeds have many nutrients, so do not remove them, strain them a little so that you do not find them in the water. This type of fruit contains a lot of water, and is very sweet, so do not add sugar. Usually it is foamy and creamy and it is great if you add a few bits of strawberry.
