Today we are going to leave the butter aside to make some delicious Butter Cookies. This ingredient is noticeable in the texture but does not give them flavor. The flavor that predominates in this case is that of orange.
can be done with pasta cutter or, as I have done, forming small balls with the hands. If you do it this way, without complicating yourselves, you will stain less and you will have them ready in no time.
They keep great in glass jars, even better if they have an airtight seal.
- 500 g flour
- 6 hours of yeast
- 180 g of sugar
- Cinnamon
- The grated skin of an orange
- 3 eggs
- A little bit of salt
- 180 g of lard
- In a large bowl, add the flour and yeast.
- Add the sugar, the grated orange skin, the cinnamon and the salt.
- We mix.
- Add the three eggs.
- We integrate them with a fork. We add the butter.
- Mix all the ingredients, first with a fork and then with your hands, kneading. We form a ball.
- We take small portions of about 20 grams and form slightly flattened balls. We are placing them on two oven trays covered with baking paper.
- Bake at 180º for approximately 20 minutes or until we see by their golden color that they are cooked.
