Roasted chestnuts, oven or microwave?

For those who we like roasted chestnuts and we get the craving at home, We can use the helpful microwave or traditional oven to prepare them. It is clear that they are not like those roasted in embers or in firewood, but these chestnuts are also delicious.

What is the difference between roasting them in the oven or in the microwave?

Chestnuts in the microwave they have the advantage that they are very fast to do. We only have to make a cut in the shell of the chestnuts to prevent them from bursting and we put them in a container in the microwave at maximum power for 3 minutes or so.

To cook them in the oven, we put them to soak for 15 minutes in hot water before roasting them. Meanwhile, we are preheating the oven to 180 degrees. Once out of the water, we dry the chestnuts and make a cut in the skin. We put them in the oven for about 20 minutes and that's it.

And now, the trick. For the chestnuts to be peeled better, we must cover them with a damp cloth while they warm up a bit.. Now we have the chestnuts ready to eat or to make a DESSERT or a RECIPE.
