Traditional pound cake and a few words about meters

This is one of the most traditional Anglo-Saxon cakes, ideal to accompany a tea or coffee (or a glass of milk or whatever you prefer). The crumb is tight like the biscuits that grandmothers used to make (and mine still does) in a pressure cooker on the fire. The recipe is with Anglo-Saxon measures that should not scare us.

It is another way of cooking that once you get used to it is simple, very simple. And the meters or "(meassuring) cups" are found everywhere, from bazaars to department stores or hardware stores.

There are some crystal that I normally use for liquids, and other metal or plastic that in addition to bringing the cup (cup), the 1/2 cup, the 1/4 cup, they bring the tablespoon (tablespoon), and the tea (teaspoon). Anyway, here you go the most common equivalences in grams (flour, butter, sugar ...). It is in English, so it is good for us to practice ...
