¿Trick or treat? It is the phrase that children pronounce when they knock on the doors of the houses on Halloween night asking for sweets ("treat"). If the neighbor does not provide them, they may play a trick on you;) For that reason, there must be sweets and sweets at home that night. These funny crunchy zucchini made with a batter of puffed rice and marshmallows. We can take advantage of this festive recipe to bring the children together in the kitchen so that they collaborate in its decoration.

This recipe for Puffed Rice Pumpkins is the perfect dessert for Halloween days

Ingredients

6 tablespoons of butter
a splash of vanilla scent
300 gr. marshmallows
6 cups of puffed rice
red + yellow (orange) liquid colorants
melting chocolate or icing

Preparation

Prepare a baking tray lined with non-stick paper.
Place the butter in a fairly large microwave-safe container and melt it for a few seconds. Add a little coloring and vanilla. Add the marshmallows and mix. We melt them well in the microwave at medium power, stirring from time to time until we have a homogeneous cream. We can also melt them in a nonstick saucepan.
Then add the crispy rice and stir very well until it is completely covered in cream.
To form the zucchini we have two options. We can pour the dough into cupcake molds or mini flaneritas and, once the mixture solidifies, join two portions so that they remain circular. Another possibility is to take small piles of dough and form balls manually. If we see that they do not take shape, we wait for the mixture to cool down and thus harden a little.
Once the pumpkins are ready, we can decorate them with melted white chocolate and colored with coloring or icing.

Notes

Trick: To better paint the details of the pumpkin, if we do not have a dosing container (pencils or pastry bottle), we can take a transparent bag, pour the fondant, form a kind of pastry bag and cut the corner so that, pressing, cream out.
