This recipe is a very simple and original idea to make some Pumpkin shaped dumplings. We have used some wafers made for dumplings and we have filled them with a wonderful jam. Jam can really be an option to personal taste, since you can use any that the market offers us. In our case, we have used a Pumpkin Jam homemade, where we will learn later how it is made. Then we have assembled, cut the dumplings and baked to make this sweet appetizer.

- Pumpkin Jam
- 500 g of raw pumpkin
- 280 g of sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 200 ml water
- Pasties
- 30 wafers for dumplings
- 1 beaten egg
- In a processor robot or in a mixing glass, we add the 500 g pumpkin in pieces. We shred it.
- Put the crushed pumpkin in a saucepan together with the 280 g of sugar, the half teaspoon of cinnamon, the teaspoon of cinnamon extract, the 30 ml of lemon juice and the 200 ml of water. Mix it well and heat it up. medium heat for 35 minutes. We stir from time to time until we see that the jam is made.
- We prepare the wafers. We place one of them and pour in the center two teaspoons of pumpkin jam. Cover with the other wafer.
- We will use a pumpkin cutter to make the way we want. We lift and seal with the tips of the fingers both edges.
- With the help of the tip of a knife we will the shape of the eyes.
- We beat the egg and spread the surface of the dumplings.
- We heat the oven at 180° and put the dumplings on baking paper in the central part. We will put heat up and down and let it bake until its surface is browned, about 10 minutes.
- Once done we can serve them warm or cold.
