If you want a nutritious and gluten-free snack you're in luck because today we're going to make some quinoa, maca and chocolate cookies. A simple recipe that you can serve with fruit or drinks.

If you are used to making cookies at home, surely you have tried recipes that use rolled oats. Today we have replaced them with quinoa flakes that are even more nutritious and gluten-free.

We have also added delicious ingredients such as coconut, chocolate and maca. This last ingredient is not well known but it is a powerful energizer and hormonal regulator especially suitable for women.

El coconut oil it is increasingly easy to find it in supermarkets. When it is cold it solidifies but when it warms a little it melts and becomes transparent.

The quinoa flakes You can find them in health food stores or specialized in gluten-free diets. You can substitute them for oat flakes but make sure they are gluten-free.

El agave syrup You can change it for honey with a mild flavor, such as orange blossom. And also for rice syrup.

As I told you before, the powdered maca it is good because it gives a lot of energy and also regulates hormonal disorders during menstruation and menopause. You can also buy it in health food stores, herbalists and online. Although if you can't find it, you can do without it.

Once cold you can store the cookies in a airtight container. They will last you up to 1 week.
