Super simple and very attractive this recipe for rolled hot dogs that will appeal to young and old. You could do it with homemade pizza dough, but the fresh marketed ones are good for us. Use the variety of sausages that you like best and accompany with ketchup or your favorite slasa.

For a quick dinner, these Rolled Dogs are perfect and it is an original way to prepare them.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pizza dough
  • 6 sausages
  • coarse salt
  • 1 beaten egg

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Cut pieces of dough and roll them into a ball on a lightly floured surface.

  2. Stretch those balls until you get a kind of churros about a finger thick and twice as long as the sausages.

  3. Roll the dough around each sausage and seal the ends on themselves. Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  4. Brush each roll with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt*.

  5. Bake for about 15-18 minutes or until the pastry is puffed up and golden.

  6. Let cool a bit and serve with ketchup, mustard, or whatever you like.

Notes

* You can also sprinkle with grated cheese.
