Nougat for the holidays are already in all markets (which I don't know why, the rest of the year, they are only seen at fairs ...), so we are going to make elaborations with this seasonal ingredient. We use soft nougat for this cake So tasty. TO

Ingredients

  • 230 g flour
  • 150 g of Jijona nougat (soft)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 120 g brown sugar
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • 1 sachet of backing powder
  • 125 ml mild olive oil
  • icing sugar to decorate (optional)

Preparation

  1. We preheat the oven to 180º C.

  2. We separate the yolks from the whites; In a large bowl, blanch the yolks with the sugar using a whisk until they are fluffy.

  3. Add the oil along with the yogurt and continue mixing. Chop the nougat and add it to the above.

  4. Mix the flour with the yeast and add everything to the bowl.

  5. Add a little orange zest and mix everything well.

  6. On the other hand, we beat the egg whites until stiff and incorporate them into the rest with enveloping movements, with the help of a spatula.

  7. Grease the mold with oil and sprinkle with flour.

  8. Pour the dough into the mold and cook for approximately 45 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
