We have prepared at home the traditional swedish meatballs, those that can be consumed and even bought at Ikea.
They carry beef and pork and also born, both in the meat and in the sauce. Children like them a lot, especially if we serve them as in the store, with mashed potatoes and blueberry jam.
With the step-by-step photos you can check they are done without difficulty although they require time to prepare, especially since salsa have to reduce to a simmer.

Ingredients
For the meatballs:
- 350 g minced pork
- 350 g minced beef
- 1 / 2 cebolla
- 15 butter g
- 60 g of bread
- 80 g of liquid cream
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of cane sugar
- Sal Island
- Black pepper
- Flour (XNUMXg)
For la salsa:
- 500 g of meat broth
- 100 g of liquid cream
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- Sal Island
- Pepper
- Butter
- Extra virgin olive oil
Plus:
- Mashed potatoes
- Marmalade
Preparation
We chop the bread and put it in a small bowl. We cover it with the liquid cream. We booked.
Chop the onion and poach it in a saucepan with 15 g of butter, over low heat. When it is well poached, we reserve it.
We put the minced meat in another container and add 1 egg.
Add the onion that we have poached and a pinch of cane sugar.
We add the bread that we have prepared at the beginning.
Mix well with your hands.
Cover the meat with plastic wrap and reserve in the refrigerator for about half an hour.
With our hands we are forming small meatballs and we pass them through flour.
Once the meatballs are formed, we seal them in a saucepan with a little oil and butter. As there are many, we fry them in several batches.
Once done we put them all in the saucepan.
We add the broth.
We incorporate the cream.
We add the mustard.
We put the lid on and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
After that time we uncover the saucepan.
We cook over a slightly stronger fire, now without a lid, so that it reduces the sauce.
We can remove the meatballs and make the sauce reduce by itself. Then, once it has thickened, we incorporate them again.
We serve with homemade mashed potatoes and with a little jam.
