Today we prepare a sweet bread with a traditional filling: angel hair. 

It's really easy to prepare. As always happens in these cases, the most complicated part is respect the lifting times, because the rest has little mystery.

You know the angel hair? It is a traditional sweet made with a specific variety of pumpkin. It is found in many supermarkets, canned, and is ideal for recipes like this.

  • 260g milk
  • 15 g fresh baker's yeast
  • 500 g flour
  • 80 g olive oil
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ can of angel hair
  1. Put the milk and yeast in the mixer bowl or in a large bowl.
  2. We mix.
  3. Add the flour and sugar.
  4. We begin to knead and add, little by little and carefully, the olive oil.
  5. Let the dough rest in the bowl for about two hours or until the dough has doubled in volume.
  6. We put the dough on the counter.
  7. We divide it into two portions.
  8. We extend each portion with the rolling pin and distribute the angel hair in the center of each rectangle.
  9. We roll up on the longest side, closing the two ends down, towards the base.
  10. With a knife, we make some cuts in each bar.
  11. Bake at 200º for approximately 20 minutes or until we see that the loaves are golden. If we see that they are browning too much and we believe that they are not yet well cooked, we can lower the oven to 180º, cover them with aluminum foil, and continue baking for a few more minutes.
