To prepare a delicious dessert at home we do not have to spend hours and hours in the kitchen. The proof is this candy puff pastry with plums, a kind of puff pastry tart made with seasonal fruit.

The plums are just picked from the tree and it is important that they are well ripe. They can be white, black or both. The important thing is to cover practically all the puff pastry with them.

  • 1 sheet of round puff pastry
  • White and/or black plums
  • About 3 tablespoons of sugar
  1. We take the puff pastry out of the refrigerator and wait about 5 minutes. We unroll it and, keeping the baking paper, we put it on a baking tray.
  2. Sprinkle a little brown sugar on the surface of the dough.
  3. We pit the plums, chop some halves, and place them forming flowers, as seen in the photo. The centers of the flowers are formed with plums cut in half. The petals, with halves cut into two or three portions.
  4. If we see that there is some uncovered space left in the puff pastry, we can fill it with other pieces of plum, in my case with purple plums.
  5. Sprinkle more sugar, also on the plums.
  6. Bake at 190º for approximately 20 minutes, or until we see that the puff pastry is golden.
  7. Let stand in the oven, with the honor off, another 10 minutes.
  8. And ready to serve, hot, warm or cold.
