Preparation

Wash the watermelon and cut it superficially at one end to leave a solid, flat base.
Now we need to remove a top part of the watermelon to make the shell of the hedgehog.
With a large spoon or a pourer, we take out the meat of the watermelon to hollow it out. Chop the pulp into cubes.
With a sharp knife we can make many small saw-shaped cuts on the front end that we have cut to simulate the quills of the hedgehog.
With part of the peel that we have removed, we cut a triangle to make the hedgehog's nose and fix it to the watermelon with toothpicks.
To make the ears, we make two curved triangles in the body of the hedgehog by cutting with the help of a knife. We gently push the triangles so that the ears slightly protrude.
For the eyes, and the tip of the nose we place, also with the help of chopsticks, some berries (blueberries, currants...).
Finally, we fill the sea urchin with the watermelon.
