One of the ways I have to defrost the salmon to make it faster is the one that I am going to tell you about. You will be able to defrost it in less than 20 minutes.
The trick is to cut it as I show you in the image and keep each of the pieces in unique bags for each portion of salmon.
Once you have it out of the freezer, cPlace the desired steaks in a medium bowl of warm water, and change the water every 5/10 minutes.
You'll see how it defrosts in the blink of an eye so you'll have it ready in no time for dinner.
