The bagels consist of a donut-shaped bread roll or donuts, with a consistent crumb and a golden, thin and slightly crunchy crust. Ingredients
- 150 ml of water
- 350 gr. Of flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation
We begin by mixing the lukewarm water with the oil, the salt and the flour mixed with the yeast and the sugar
Combine the ingredients and knead everything for about 3 minutes
Grease a large container and put the dough
Cover with film or a cloth and let the dough rise for about half an hour.
After that time, we knead again on a floured surface
So, we divide the dough into pieces and shape them into a donut.
Let the bagels rest again, covered, for another 15 minutes.
Bring a large saucepan with water to a boil and cook the bagels for 1 minute on each side, turning them carefully
Drain them and put them on a greased baking tray or covered with baking paper.
Bake the bagels in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
Once golden, remove them and let them cool down a bit before opening them in half and filling them.
