With this simple cake recipe we will have no problem in the measurement of the quantities or in the steps to make it. This cake does not have extra ingredients like yogurt, cream or milk. Take the usual ones, which are not many, so we will try to choose quality ones so that we get a cake with a great flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 500 gr. white sugar
  • 500 gr. Of flour
  • 500 gr. of organic or free-range eggs XL (7 units approx.)
  • 500 gr. Of olive oil
  • 1 sachet (16 gr.) Baking powder
  • the rind of 1 lemon

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat together with the lemon peel. When it starts to boil, remove it from the heat and let it cool.

  2. Mix the cold oil (without the crust) with the flour to form a smooth paste.

  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff with the help of the whisk. We add the yolks.

  4. We add this preparation to the cream of oil and flour very carefully and finally we incorporate the yeast with a strainer, stirring at the same time.

  5. When the cake dough is bound, we pour it into a greased or papered mold and put it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

  6. We let the cake warm out of the oven and let it cool completely unmolded and on a wire rack, preferably.
