In addition to cod, the green broth is the queen of soups in the kitchen of Portugal. I say the queen of soups because in this country soup is eaten every day even in summer. In bars, restaurants and even in fast food stalls, green broth is one of those must-have dishes on every menu.
It is a thick soup made with potatoes and Galician green cabbage which is usually also enriched with a drizzle of oil and chorizo. I think that with these cold days that we are going through, a green soup for dinner is not bad at all.
