Fregula a la sarda, a very different pasta

We are going to cook a type of spherical pasta from the Italian island of Sardinia. These tan-colored pearls (they are baked before being marketed) are usually prepared boiled al dente like the rest of the pasta. The quintessential Sardinian recipe for fregula is the one with tomato sauce and clams. We are going to give it a particular touch, a little bit of chorizo.
