Eggless marzipan

As we already mentioned in the previous post about marzipan chocolates, this sweet requires egg white so that the paste is firm and moldable. However, those allergic to eggs do not be discouraged that there are solutions for everything. We are going to prepare some marzipan figurines without eggs.

Preparing a Marzipan without eggs is possible and in this recipe we are going to achieve it in a few steps

Ingredients

  • 250 gr. ground almonds
  • 120 gr icing sugar
  • 40 ml water
  • a few drops of lemon juice

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, dissolve the sugar with the water, over low heat, until a syrup is made.

  2. Remove from the heat and add the almond and the juice droplets

  3. Mix very well until a homogeneous mass is formed.

  4. Let cool for a couple of hours

  5. With the help of a spoon we take small portions of dough and shape them with our hands to form the figures we want

  6. We are placing them on a baking tray covered with non-stick paper and paint them with sugar water

  7. Bake in the oven for a few minutes until lightly browned.

  8. Let them cool down again.
