We say goodbye to the month of August and many of you return home after the end of the holidays. But summer and heat are still with us. That is why we bring you this fresh, simple and cheap lemon and lime mousse (which we have spent a lot on the beach!)

We have prepared this dessert with evaporated milk, with less fat than cream. You will see how delicious and fast to make!

This lemon lime mousse is the perfect dessert for hot days

Ingredients

  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 100 gr. sugar
  • 1 or 2 lemons
  • 1 lime

Preparation

  1. It is necessary before starting with the recipe to keep the can of evaporated milk in the refrigerator for a minimum of 24 hours.

  2. After the refrigeration time, we start with the mousse. First we squeeze the juice of the lemons and lime and strain it thoroughly. The citrus skins, grate them.

  3. Pour the milk into a bowl and beat it with the electric whisk. When it begins to mount, that is to say to take volume, we add the juice of the lime and the lemons. Little by little and without stopping beating, we also add the sugar by tablespoons and a little citrus zest. We beat until the preparation has a very creamy consistency.

  4. Divide the mousse into glasses and put it in the fridge until serving time.
