Omuraisu, omelette, rice and ...

If we say that the name of this Japanese dish derives from the words omelette ('omelette' in French) and rice ('rice' in English), we realize that the recipe is not as complex as its name. Omuraisu is usually prepared with fried rice with some sauce and chicken meat, although these ingredients may change. Meats, vegetables, seafood, other tasty sauces, and even noodles as substitutes for rice are also good for omuraisu.
