This soup It is very original and simple, and it comes with knobs (and not because it has pears) for any holiday, meaning a holiday any day that we want. We are always used to saying that if picadillo, almond or seafood soup on the day of Christmas for example, and why not vary or put a touch of daring.

Of course, if you have guests, ask first if they like cheese because this recipe has very different types.

The function of the pear, among others, is to soften the cream, in addition to giving it a touch of sweetness. As an alternative for decoration, you can reserve some cubes of blue cheese, put them on top along with some squares of sauteed pear.

Ingredients

  • 6 pears
  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 100g blue cheese
  • 50g of parmesan cheese
  • 150g cream cheese spread
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 4 slices of bread from the day before
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • A few thyme leaves
  • A little parsley sin to decorate
  • shawl

Preparation

  1. First, we cut the bread into small dice and drizzle it with a little olive oil; sprinkle thyme (or another herb of your choice) on top; salt a little and put it on a baking tray lined with paper and bake at 200ºC (it is advisable to stir it at least once so that it is golden on all sides).

  2. Remove from the oven when they are well browned, but be careful that they do not burn. Alternatively, you can make them fried, but why more calories.

  3. Meanwhile, we wash, peel and dice the heartless pears.

  4. Put the butter in a pan and sauté the fruit. Once golden (5 minutes), pour in the milk, add the cheeses, a little nutmeg and a twist of pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes over low heat, stirring regularly so that it does not stick.

  5. We pass through the blender or a Chinese to make it thinner. We serve in individual bowls and garnish with a little chopped parsley and the croutons of bread that we baked.

  6. Alternatively, garnish with some crumbled blue cheese and sauteed pear cubes.
