Do you need ideas for the Father's Day? With a chocolate cake you are not wrong. The base is puff pastry, the filling is simple but very good. Decorate as you like (change "Happy Father's Day" to "Happy Father's Day" or something like that, unless your father is learning English ...). Put little houses, sweets or whatever your imagination dictates.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of shortcrust pastry
  • 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 150 gr. sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of flour
  • shawl
  • 375 ml. whole milk
  • vanilla scent
  • Yolks 2
  • 1 spoonful of butter
  • dumplings
  • 1 fondant chocolate bar
  • Rolled almonds

Preparation

  1. We start by making a chocolate cream by mixing the cocoa with the sugar, flour, salt, egg yolks and milk. We beat until we get a homogeneous cream.

  2. We transfer the cream to a non-stick saucepan and put it on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens. Once off the heat, add a few drops of vanilla essence and butter to the chocolate cream.

  3. Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface with a rolling pin. We place it on a greased round mold, raising the edges, and prick it with a fork so that it does not rise (edges included). Bake at about 180 degrees for about 15 minutes until lightly browned.

  4. Pour the chocolate cream over the baked dough for about 15-20 minutes, or until poking the center with a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on rack.

  5. Melt the fondant chocolate in the microwave (reserve a little) or in a bain-marie and cover the cake with the chocolate. Let it solidify.

  6. Melt the rest of the chocolate and put it in a pastry bag. Cut a little beak and decorate by putting the phrase you want (for example, "Congratulations Dad!").

  7. Arrange the sliced ​​almonds on the sides.
