Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 7 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of eggs (3-4 approximately)
  • 1/2 cup of caramel syrup
  • 2 cups of pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup of salt, a pinch of salt

frosting

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt
  • 400 gr. condensed milk

Preparation

  1. First of all we prepare the mold for the cake. We will choose a removable one and line it with non-stick paper. We spread it with a little oil too.

  2. To prepare the cake dough, beat the brown sugar with the butter until it becomes a whipped cream.

  3. Add the eggs and caramel to the sugar mixture and beat again.

  4. Separately we bind the flour, yeast, bicarbonate and salt.

  5. Add this mixture to the egg mixture with the help of a strainer in the form of rain, stirring meanwhile to bind the dough and occasionally pouring the milk in little streams.

  6. Pour the dough into the mold and cook the cake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool it outside on a rack and remove from the molds.

  7. While we can prepare the glaze. We mix the sugar and the other ingredients in a saucepan and put everything to cook over medium heat.

  8. Once the cream boils, we cook it for a couple of minutes or until the mixture is thick. We must always remove it. When a few minutes pass and the cream is warm, we spread it over the cake.
