custard or custard cream (powder preparations are worth it)
sponge cakes
whipping cream or egg whites (meringue)
bananas
hard nougat type garland
cherries in green and red syrup
walnuts and other dried fruits

Preparation

Once the custard or pastry cream is ready (not too thick), let it cool and continue with the trifle recipe.
We chose a good cup or bowl and began to layer the ladyfingers. We can put them as is or water them with a little syrup flavored with orange peel or orange blossom water. In any case, the cream itself, even more so if we pour it a little warm, will moisten the biscuits a bit.
We cover this first layer of biscuits with the cream.
Now we put the bananas in thin slices, also inserting colored cherries, to give the trifle more showiness. If you prefer to use the cherries to decorate only the top of the glass, you can use forest fruits or peach in syrup for the filling. Maybe that way the dessert will be less heavy.
We repeat the process of the layers of sponge cake, cream and fruit and finish crowning the trifle with sweetened whipped cream. The cream is better mounted if it is very cold. Decorate with cherries, chopped nuts and a bit of guirlache, which will give it a crunchy touch.
