Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned sweet corn (4 small cans)
  • 1 purple onion
  • 1 chive
  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons liquid cream*
  • 100 gr. shredded cheddar
  • 100 gr. grated emmental
  • hot paprika or paprika
  • pepper
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. On the one hand we make a sauteed sauce with butter and the onion, spring onion and pepper very finely chopped

  2. On the other hand, we also sauté the corn with butter for a few minutes so that it takes on color and crunches a little.

  3. Both sautéed we salt and pepper them.

  4. Now we mix the corn with the sautéed vegetables and add the mayonnaise, the cream and the emmental

  5. We take this preparation to a mold and cover it with the grated cheddar

  6. Gratinate the dip in the oven at 180 degrees until the cheddar is melted and slightly golden.

Notes

The amount of cream added will vary depending on the amount of fat in the cheese. For denser cheeses, more cream will be needed, otherwise the dip will be too compact when the cheese melts in the oven.
