Ingredients

For the base:

  • 1 package of Maria cookies
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 80 butter

For the filling:

  • 1 small jar of condensed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Golden apples

For decoration:

  • 3 Golden apples
  • Apricot jam.

Preparation

  1. First we must pulverize all the cookies. If we have a crusher, we will do it much faster, and if not, we will do it with the help of a mortar. This is where the children can help while we prepare the filling. Once we have the biscuit powder, we will add powdered cinnamon to taste and mix it well with the melted butter until we obtain a somewhat earthy paste, which we will expand in the bottom of the mold with the help of a soup spoon, pressing firmly.

  2. With this base ready, we will only have to beat the eggs, add the can of condensed milk and the grated golden apples, using a grater on its side with larger blades. This mixture, which does not need sugar since the condensed milk gives it all the necessary sweetness, we will carefully spread over our cookie base.

  3. Finally, all that remains is to peel the rest of the apples, cut them into quarters and fillet them, to decorate our cake, arranging the slices as tiles, that is, a little overlapping, so that all the filling is well covered. As a final touch, and with the help of a brush or kitchen brush, we will paint the apple slices with the apricot jam.

  4. At this point, we will preheat the oven to 180 degrees for about 10 minutes, at which time we will introduce the cake. We will know that it is ready when it has acquired a beautiful color in its upper layer and when pricking it with a knife it comes out completely clean. Now you just have to let it cool and enjoy its fantastic flavor.
